Aieta Nematah

Aieta Nematah (died MS 5062-5070), dubbed The Wytch of the Kirlundin Isles, was a former apprentice of Shasarak and accomplice to various pirates and rogue barons who terrorised the Kirlundians. She was banished into the Shadow Gate of Toran as punishment for her crimes.

Biography

Nematah was a student of Shasarak the Witch King, who taught her much, including the Daziarn, where she would eventually be banished to. She was tasked with retrieving Shianti Pariah artifacts in Sommerlund for him.

In MS 4891, she persuaded Captain Jhenga, a Shadakine pirate leader, to settle in Broka, the Kirlundin Isles. With this new base of operations, Jhenga raided cargo ships between Sommerlund and Durenor at will. Baron Rosk Kalen of Tyso undertook a mission to hunt down the pirates, and discovered their lair that same year. Rather than kill the pirates, he offered them a chance to relinquish their ways and join the Sommerlund navy as privateers, with him as their captain. Jhenga had little option but to agree, although Kalen's offer was risky, as nothing would have stopped them from fleeing once his blockade was released. Jhenga and his men, however, were impressed by the level of respect Kalen showed, and became loyal sailors of Sommerlund. Nemahtah, however, was forced to go into hiding, and found refuge south of the Silver Shore in Kirlu.

From her hidden lair in the woods, she later provided magical support to pirate fleets and rogue barons, terrorising the Kirlundians, and proved to be adept at covering her tracks. During her time on Kirlu, her magic corrupted the fauna, which persisted over a century later. However, her actions eventually drew the attention of aging Kai Grand Master Storm Hunter, and the two clashed multiple times. She eventually attempted to steal a Shianti artifact from the necropolis of Tyso, but Storm Hunter sacrificed his life to destroy it. This deprived Nematah of the artifact and caused her to expend much of her power, leading to her eventually being captured by Kai Grand Master Stone Blade, a student of Storm Hunter. In MS 4895, she was banished into the Shadow Gate of Toran to the Daziarn for her crimes.

Nematah survived her journey to the Daziarn, with her knowledge and power, and she quickly became influential amongst the Villains of Sommerlund, her fellow banished criminals. She later encountered Vonotar, who overpowered her personally, and took control of her group. Nematah later helped Vonotar understand the nature of the Daziarn.

Later, Lone Wolf too was banished to the Daziarn, by Darklord Gnaag via a different Shadow Gate in Torgar, along with the remaining Lorestones. One of these Lorestones was found by Vonotar, who used its power to open a Shadow Gate to return to Magnamund. However, Lone Wolf confronted the Villains of Sommerlund before anyone could enter, and slew them.
