From 2007 onwards, Mongoose Publishing began to republish versions of the Lone Wolf gamebooks. These republished versions included bonus adventures - short bonus adventures at the end of each gamebook. Most of these adventures were written by authors other than Joe Dever, although for those where Dever was not, he provided feedback while he was alive, and Holmgard Press continued this after his death. Each bonus adventure usually focuses on a different character other than Lone Wolf and Grand Master - often, a character that was encountered by either protagonist during their adventures - and in a small number of cases, the reader plays a character of evil.
