Grand Huntmastery is a Kai Grand Master Discipline. Grand Masters are able to see in total darkness and they possess great natural speed and agility. They also have a superb sense of touch and taste. Grand Masters with this discipline can hunt for food in harsh environments and thus are not required to tick off a Meal when instructed to eat, except in extreme circumstances, such as the Night Spire of Naaros.[1] It is an improved discipline of Magnakai Discipline Huntmastery and Kai Discipline Hunting.
On higher ranks, the benefits gained from the use of this discipline is as follows:
Kai-Grand Guardian - Increases mobility when traveling across all types of terrain on foot or horseback, useful in outdistancing an enemy.
Sun Lord - Able to see light in the infrared spectrum accurately as well as in ultraviolet spectrum.
Sun Thane - Able to protect themselves from the effects of natural electrical discharges (i.e lightning).
Sun Prince - Able to control the direction and movement of currents of air / water or when venturing through non-material planes of existence (i.e, Shadow Gate)
Usage[]
Aside from substituting for meals and thereby conserving backpack space, Grand Huntmastery will often provide bonuses in save-to-avoid situations, such as when leaping across a pit or when dodging an arrow. This happens quite frequently, making Grand Huntmastery a very useful discipline.
