Grand Weaponmastery

Grand Weaponmastery is a Kai Grand Master Discipline. While the Kai Discipline Weaponskill grants +2 Combat Skill and Magnakai Discipline Weaponmastery grants +3 Combat Skill with the selected weapons of choice, the bonus does not stack. A Kai Grand Master with Grand Weaponmastery gains +5 Combat Skill with a weapon they are proficient in. A Kai Grand Master with Grand Weaponmastery may add 5 to any number he/she picked from the Random Number Table when using the Bow. As a loyalty bonus to readers, Lone Wolf can still benefit from Kai or Magnakai weaponmastery disciplines without Grand Weaponmastery as long as he acquired them in earlier books.

The weapons used with Grand Weaponmastery are:

• Sword
• Bow
• Dagger
• Broadsword
• Short Sword
• Axe
• Spear
• Quarterstaff
• Mace
• Warhammer

On higher ranks, the following benefits can be gained when using this discipline:

Kai-Grand Sentinel (New Order series only) - Able to locate their Kai Weapon. The power of detection can pass through solid objects except for lead.

Sun Knight - Able to wield two-handed weapons effectively as a one-hand weapon.

Sun Lord - Allows igniting of the metal edge of any non-magical weapon. This deals an additional damage of 1 Endurance Point on an enemy for each round of combat. However, it cannot be used on a wooden weapon like a quarterstaff.

Grand Thane (New Order series only) - Able to switch between hand weapon and a bow swiftly and in a blink of an eye.

Grand Crown - When fighting unarmed, Grand Crowns can add 3 to their Combat Skill.

Usage

Grand Weaponmastery provides a substantial bonus to Combat Skill. There are unavoidable fights in every adventure, making this a powerful discipline.
