Like Banedon before him, for a recurring character who'd later turn out to be so important in later books, the odds of your meeting Captain Prarg in his debut book, The Dungeons of Torgar, are shockingly small. Later books in the series will ask if you fought in the Battle of Cetza as a means of knowing if you met him here, but simply fighting in the Battle of Cetza isn't enough. The path to meeting Captain Prarg in this book stands on the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will not come to pass (or you won't realize that it did).
Start at the beginning with Section 1. You meet Prince Graygor who suggests two main routes to get to Torgar, one of which is to accompany him to Cetza to join with the Lencian army led by King Sarnac to fight a battle to reclaim Cetza.

Inevitably, you'll wind up in Section 42 at the start of the battle, when Graygor leads his Palace Guard on an assault of a nearby temple.

You witness Graygor and his men take the temple after a hard fought confrontation with the enemy. But you see enemy reinforcements that outnumber Graygor's men heading their way.

As you near the King's tent, a Lencian cavalry officer rides towards you, calling you to stop.
- Bring your horse to a halt and find out what he wants (105)
The officer informs you that Sarnac's men are on a hard fought bridge, are badly in need of reinforcements, and asks you to get Graygor's reserves to help. When you explain Graygor's situation at the temple, the officer sadly understands that Graygor and his men need those reserves themselves.

It will be then, and only then, that you learn that the Lencian officer you've met for the past 2 Sections is Captain Prarg.
But if you meet Captain Prarg in this book, while it's probable you'll also meet King Sarnac and possible you'll meet Roark and Tagazin, you won't meet Sebb Jarel.
