A Kai Master or Kai Mistress (Sommlending: Kai Elhrin; masculine: Kai Menskurd; feminine: Kai Femskurd) is an umbrella term describing a Kai warrior who has achieved mastery over the ten Kai Disciplines, but has yet to reach Kai Grand Master.
Training[]
Having learnt the Kai Disciplines, Kai Masters study the more advanced Magnakai Disciplines. Many of these Disciplines are themselves advanced versions of the Kai Disciplines, such as Huntmastery being an advanced version of Hunting.

History[]
After Baron Shaen Ruanor became the first Kai Lord, renaming himself "Sun Eagle", the God Kai told Sun Eagle to recover the Lorestones of Nyxator. In doing so, Sun Eagle gained immense knowledge and power, far beyond the Kai knowledge known at the time. He recorded his knowledge in the Book of the Magnakai, which became the basis of knowledge from which Kai Masters studied from, and made Kai Grand Master the new aspirational, ultimate rank for Kai to achieve.
After Lone Wolf became Kai Grand Master, he discovered Grand Master Disciplines even further beyond the Magnakai level, and vowed to master them all, becoming the first Kai Supreme Master.

The suffix "-in" in Sommlending means "having the potential to be". Hence Kai Lords and Ladies, the umbrella term below Kai Master, are referred to as "Kai Skurdin", meaning "potential to become Kai Master". The terms are summarised below.[1][2]
