Darklord Khatellu (died MS 5070) was a Darklord and Lord of Dajaraa, making him the Left Hand and second ranking Lord of Helgedad.
Appearance[]
It was said that Naar, when creating Khatellu, started with a snake, but changed his mind several times. This created a misshapen serpent man with incredibly oversized jaws and bizarrely coloured patches of fur, which appeared at seemingly random intervals on his body. He had oversized jaws.[2]
Personality[]
Khatellu possessed fearsome strength, but limited political skill and patience. He was easily-courted by the other Darklords as an ally, trading his might and wealth for weapons. He spent most of his time organising fights in the BLood Ward of Helgedad.[2]
Biography[]
Khatellu arrived on Magnamund with his fellow Darklords in MS 3072. He was appointed the Left Hand of Helgedad by Archlord Vashna, and given the realm of Dajaraa as his right.[2] He constantly tried to prove he was superior to the Right Hand of Helgedad and ruler of Dajdorza, Darklord Mrugor, expressed through constant bloodshed between the two realms. Only the Archlord could halt the violence, although neither Vashna nor Zagarna felt the need to, implying that the constant bloodshed kept them distracted.[1]
In MS 5062, aided by the Tanoz-tukor, allowing the Darklords to operate freely outside of the Darklands, Darklords Khatellu and Zhanshal invaded Anari, to finish what Zakhan Kimah was unable to do. The two easily overwhelmed Anari, still recovering from the first assault. Tahou was sacked, forcing its defenders to wage a long, protracted guerilla war.[4]
In MS 5065, Darklords Khatellu and Tomogh invaded Valerion and Dessi, where they were opposed by Grey Star and Lord Paido.[5] Tomogh was able to use the power of an artifact to draw from the power of the Plane of Darkness, driving the forces of Dessi deep into their homelands.[6] Valerion, meanwhile, fell to Khatellu.[7]
Some time between MS 5067 and MS 5070, aided by the Tanoz-tukor, Khatellu and Darklord Tomogh led an invasion of Western Dessi, which fell. They drove the war front to the Dessi city of Anasundi, where Grey Star, Lord Ardan and Lord Rimoah prepared a last stand.[8]
Khatellu died in MS 5070, after Lone Wolf destroyed the Transfusor, causing the Tanoz-tukor to stop working, meaning he could not survive for long outside of the Darklands. For his failure, his spirit was trapped and tortured in the Plain of Despair by Naar.[9]

Vincent Lazzari on Discord regarding the fate of the Darklords."I can assure you that this specific scene in LW20, in the Plain of Despair, did not feature all the villains Lone Wolf canonically slew during his adventures. Simply because there are too many spirits who were specifically punished by Naar for their failures, Lone Wolf couldn't see all of them. And so, among them, you do have Darklord Zagarna, even if not mentioned. As well as the other Darklords that Lone Wolf didn't know personally (considering Claws of Helgedad is not canon in the main continuity). All were judged supreme failures by Naar and punished the same way - this is the fate of the champions of Darkness who don't succeed in their conquests. You can think about all the major servants of the God Naar slain by Lone Wolf - they are here, somewhere in the Plain of Despair, suffering terrible tortures. Cadak was a notable exception, his soul being sold and bound to the Lords of Decay."
