Koura-tas-naar (Vakeros; English: Sons of the dark) is a prophecy that tells of the rise of two sons of darkness: "Oud", meaning "death", and "Godrak", meaning "doom".

Prophecy[]

Koura-tas-naar tells of the rise of two sons of the dark: — Kor-Oud (son of death) and Kor-Godrak (son of doom). The prophecy then goes on to state that Koura-tas-naar would vie with Kor-Skarn (son of the wolf) and their heirs in a fight, Tasa-tas-Dophiem, War of the Gods, in a fight to determine the fate of the world, and all worlds. Koura-tas-naar is the final prophecy of the Elder Magi, and its outcome is unknown.[1]

History[]

Unlike the prophecy of Koura-tas-kai, this prophecy was not shared by the Elder Magi with Lone Wolf. In MS 5102, during the events of Dead in the Deep, Darklord Vashna rose from the Maakengorge, indicating that Kor-Oud (son of death) had risen, and that Kor-Godrak (son of doom) — believed to be Agarash the Damned — would inevitably follow. Thus, although Grey Star, Grand Master and Blazer set off on a quest to thwart the Naarvakim's plans to stop Agarash from returning to Magnamund, the Elder Magi assumed it would fail, and prepared accordingly.[1]

Agarash did return indeed, after Blazer was possessed and unwittingly helped him return.[2][3] Agarash's first act was to summon the Vaag to attack the Kai on the Isle of Lorn.[4] Grey Star teleported himself and Grand MasterBlazer having sacrificed himself into the Pit of Eternal Pain to atone for his actions — and Grand Master rallied the Kai. However, any allies were too far away to help, needing over a day to arrive; however, as the Elder Magi had assumed this would fail, they arrived on the Isle of Lorn soon after Grand Master did. It was here that Lady Assiliah made Grand Master aware of the prophecy of Koura-tas-naar.[1]

During the battle, Grand Master was elevated by the god Kai to Kai Supreme Master before fighting and defeating Vaagarash. Lady Assiliah declared Grand Master (now dubbed "Supreme Master") one of the Koura-tas-skarn, praised them for embracing their destiny, and that Tasa-tas-Dophiem could begin. Lone Wolf was also made aware of the prophecy soon after, and he declared that Koura-tas-skarn would determine the fate of the world, and declared he had nothing more to teach Supreme Master.[5]
