Zakhan Lhazhor of Bisutan was the Zakhan of Vassagonia after the death of Kimah.
Biography[]
Under Zakhan Kimah, Vassagonia became an ally of the Darklords. In MS 5062, during the events of The Cauldron of Fear, Lone Wolf retrieved the Lorestone of Tahou in the underground city of Zaaryx, and met Zakhan Kimah after returning to the surface. The two fought a fierce battle, which Lone Wolf prevailed in, and slew Kimah.[1]
Lhazhor's ascent to Zakhan has contradictory dates. In The Magnamund Companion republication of Lone Wolf Club Newsletter 11, he was elected by the elders of Vassagonia as successor in MS 5062[2] (this date was not present in the original newsletter).[3] In the Journeys Through Magnamund podcast, however, he was elected in MS 5066 after a civil war.[4]
In the latter case, two contenders emerged in MS 5066: Emir Shoualli,[5] who wanted to align Vassagonia with the Freelands, and Emir Lhazhor of Bisutan, who wanted to continue the alliance with the Darklords. Archlord Gnaag himself made his way to Vassagonia to sway support Lhazhor's way, much like Darklord Haakon did with Zakhan Kimah in MS 5055, during the events of Shadow on the Sand. Gnaag was successful, and Lhazhor became Zakhan. While in Vassagonia, however, Darklord Nhorg, greatly empowered by an unknown third party, attempted to assassinate Gnaag. Nhorg barely failed, and was forced to flee back to the Darklands, pursued by Gnaag. Shoualli raised his army in rebellion, and he and his followers set out to support the Freelands.[4]
At some point before MS 5083, Lhazhor passed away, and may have been succeeded by Shoualli.[6]
