In 5060 MS, the Drakkarim renegades from Hammerland descended upon the city of Luomi and ravaged it. The inhabitants were brutally massacred, and the sacred temple around which the city had been built was desecrated, looted, and completely destroyed by fire. In the old temple was one of the three stones of Nyxator. In 5062 MS, the city was recaptured by the troops of King Sarnac of Lencia and Prince Gaynor of Eru. The baron Shinzar was then pushed back to less than thirty kilometers from the border.
In MS 5062, every house, stable, tavern, and municipal building was teeming with knights and men-at-arms. Lone Wolf receives lodging in Luomi's main citadel and, later that evening, after the Prince attended a war council with King Sarnac, they discuss the next stage of their quest in private.
