Mentora is the seventh Kai Master rank and the sixteenth Kai rank overall, after Principalin.

Training

Mentoras reaching this rank have mastered seven Magnakai Disciplines, as well as all ten Kai Disciplines.

On average, for a Kai warrior possessing the innate potential to become a Kai Grand Master, a Mentora would be age 48. The next rank is Scion-kai, typically reached two years later.

Improved Magnakai Disciplines

Mentoras have improved Magnakai Disciplines over their original, initial mastery of them:

Weaponmastery

Mentoras are more accurate when using all missile weapons, whether fired (e.g. a Bow) or thrown (e.g. a Dagger). When using a bow or thrown weapon and instructed to pick a number from the Random Number Table, add 2 to the number picked.

Curing

Mentoras are able to neutralize the effects of any poisons, venoms, or toxins with which they come into contact.

Pathsmanship

Mentoras are able to cross any kind of terrain on foot without leaving any tracks, even if the ground is covered in snow.

Psi-screen

Mentoras can protect themselves from evil spirits and other non-corporeal beings that attack psychically. The effectiveness of this ability increases as a Kai Master rises in rank.

Divination

Mentoras able to detect psychic residues lingering in a place where a dramatic event, such as a battle, a murder, a ritual sacrifice, or a ritual ceremony, has taken place. Through meditation, Mentoras may visualise these events through these psychic residues, even if it occurred in the distant past.

In the gamebooks

In the gamebooks, the player reaches Mentora after completing four Magnakai gamebooks. The earliest this can be played as, and canonically for Lone Wolf, is during The Dungeons of Torgar.
