Mydnight is a port in Sheasu, and considered to be its capital.[1]

History[]

Mydnight is a refuge for exiles and those who have chosen to forsake their native lands. It is by nature a secretive community, where any overt interest in the affairs of another is most often viewed with suspicion and distrust.[2]

Geography[]

Mydnight is a port in Sheasu. It is a messily-organised city of houses and smelly rooms. Three locations of interest are:

  • Grosta's Warehouse, located on the south side of the harbour[3]
  • Hall of the Judicars[4]
  • The Smitheries, the artisans' and tradesmen's district, west of the quayside[5]

In the gamebooks[]

Mydnight is visited in the brief first arc of Mydnight's Hero. The player, as Grand Master, first arrives in Mydnight to find information on where Prince Karvas, living in exile on Sheasu, could be. The player may visit Grosta's Warehouse, Hall of the Judicars, or The Smitheries, to find information; if the player does not find any information, then Lord Zinair will. Either way, all that will be known is that Karvas is no longer in Mydnight, having married a young woman, Princess Amarelda of Lunarlia, and left Mydnight after their wedding, to settle on the northern coastline; neither has returned to visit in a year.[6]
