Naargarod was a citadel and sole notable settlement within the wasteland of Yr-Naoga. It was destroyed after Archlord Zagarna came to power.
History[]
Naargarod is rumoured to be the first Darklord settlement, from where they initially based their assaults from.
During the transition between Archlords Vashna and Zagarna, Naargarod was used as a neutral venue for the Darklords to discuss alliances and deals. After Zagarna became Archlord, Naargarod lost its sole use, and it was abandoned and razed to the ground.
Design[]
In the first edition of The Darklands, Naargarod's use as a neutral venue for the Darklords to discuss alliances persisted during Zagarna's rule. It was also used to dispose of business outside of Helgedad, and the Darklords sometimes blasted the flying beasts of Yr-Naoga for sport. It also saw a degree of upkeep as a result, and was constructed with high stone walls and a moat of salty acid to protect against the foul beasts of Yr-Naoga.[1]
