Primate is the fourth Kai Master rank and the thirteenth Kai rank overall, after Kai Master Superior.

Training

Primates reaching this rank have mastered four Magnakai Disciplines, as well as all ten Kai Disciplines.

On average, for a Kai warrior possessing the innate potential to become a Kai Grand Master, a Primate would be age 35. The next rank is Tutelary, typically reached three years later.

Improved Magnakai Disciplines

Primates have improved Magnakai Disciplines over their original, initial mastery of them:

Animal Control

Primates are able to repel a hostile animal by blocking its sense of taste and smell. This skill is less effective on larger and more ferocious animals.

Curing

Primates can slow, but not neutralise, the effects of poisons and venoms that they may come into contact with, giving them more time to find an antidote and cure.

Huntmastery

Primates have greatly-increased agility and are able to climb without the use of climbing aids such as ropes.

Psi-surge

Primates can concentrate their psychic powers upon an object, causing it to vibrate and possibly lead to its disruption or destruction.

Nexus

Primates are much more resilient to the effects of noxious gases and fumes.

In the gamebooks
