This article is about the relic itself. For the similarly-named graphic novel that focuses on this relic, see The Skull of Agarash.

The Skull of Agarash is the skull of Agarash the Damned. Due to Agarash's incredible power, even after his destruction, the Skull became a relic of Evil, coveted by agents of Darkness. It is the focus of the graphic novel The Skull of Agarash.

Powers[]

The Skull of Agarash possesses immense power. When tapped-into by a user, they can cast Right-Handed Magic that can even overpower an Elder Magi. However, repeated exposure to the Skull slowly binds the user to Agarash's will, preserved within the bones.[1]

The Skull possesses its own self-defense mechanisms, attacking potential enemies with psychic attacks, and inducing terrifying visions.[1]

History[]

During the Age of Eternal Night, the forces of Light fought against Agarash and in a desperate war lasting millennia. Agarash's physical body was eventually destroyed in Naaros, although his spirit was trapped in the Pit of Eternal Pain. Despite his physical destruction, his body parts still possessed incredible power, so the Elder Magi gathered up the parts of Agarash's shattered body where they could, and safeguarded them. However, his skull was not one of those found, and it fell into the hands of the agents of Darkness.[1]

At some point prior to MS 5077 (where the events of The Skull of Agarash take place), the Skull of Agarash fell into the hands of the pirate Khadro, who used its power to kidnap Lord Rimoah. Lone Wolf, together with Mazrah and his crew, sailed to the Lakuri Isles to rescue Lord Rimoah, but for Mazrah, gain revenge on Khadro for the death of his sons, and plunder his loot. In Khadro's base. Lone Wolf confronted Mazrah, but was attacked by a Nadziranim who transformed into its Fire Dragon form. After Lone Wolf defeated it, however, Khadro used the power of the Skull to bind Lone Wolf. As he prepared to deal the killing blow, however, Mazrah stabbed Khadro from behind. Lone Wolf then prepared to destroy the Skull before they left. As he raised his sword, the Skull induced nightmarish visions within Lone Wolf, but with the power of the Sommerswerd, he was able to overcome these and shatter the Skull for good.
