Swift Sword

Swift Sword (died MS 5102) was a Kai Grand Master and disciple of Grand Master. He was slain in Kalte, while attempting to end a new conflict by the Ice Barbarians on the Lastlands.

Personality

Swift Sword was a formidable warrior, gifted with a sword, which was where his Kai name was derived from. He was a jovial figure and eager to charge into battle. Grand Master, his tutor since his induction, shared a close bond of friendship with Swift Sword, and considered him to be like a son.

Biography

Swift Sword was a Kai Lord. Grand Master was his tutor from his induction, although he remained in Sommerlund while Grand Master migrated to the Isle of Lorn to expand the Order of the Kai there.

In MS 5102, Swift Sword arrived on the Isle of Lorn, together with Black Hawk, Star Lynx, Steel Hand, and led by Lone Wolf, to discuss the recent rise of the forces of Darkness throughout Magnamund, in what appeared to be a coordinated assault in multiple places, to overwhelm the forces of Light. Lone Wolf assigned each Kai Grand Master a mission to foil an individual plot. Swift Sword's mission was in Kalte, where the Ice Demons, Nadziranim and Ice Barbarians were planning a second assault on the Lastlands, having been defeated in MS 5101 by combined Sommlending and Durenese forces. However, Swift Sword was killed on his mission. Although no confirmation of his death was found, Lone Wolf sensed he was dead. Swift Sword and Black Hawk, whom Lone Wolf had also sensed died on his mission to Skaror, were mourned in the Kai Monastery in Sommerlund, with Grand Master delivering Swift Sword's eulogy.

After his death, Blazer was sent to finish Swift Sword's mission. Blazer was successful, although he was tortured psychically in Kalte, and the mission left him taciturn and distant. Additionally, unbeknownst to him, the Ice Demons had planted an Ice Crystal in his brain, allowing him to be monitored and possessed by the Naarvakim, leading to him betraying his cause later.
