Tar Ogashaar, dubbed The Province of Ruins, is a Darklands realm, reduced to ruin after a cataclysmic battle against the Darklords.
History[]
Before the arrival of the Darklords, Tar Ogashaar was a peaceful realm, populated by the Sorarians, an ancient Drodarin race. During the Great Plague, these races sheltered in Tar Ogashaar, isolated themselves, and pooled together their resources and knowledge to survive. When the Darklords did arrive, they slaughtered the inhabitants in a brutal massacre, to the extent that the victors do not remember the events of the siege themselves. The former city of the Sorarians was then destroyed by a desert of dust, transforming the land into a wasteland. The taint of death was so strong in Tar Ogashaar, it even fused with the Touch of Naar, creating a curse that even damaged the Darklords, although they could recover by leaving the area.[1]
The Sorarians were goldsmiths, and they created many treasures, some of which were enchanted with magic. During his rule, Darklord Kraagenskûl sent his forces into Tar Ogashaar to scavenge these artifacts, as well as magical lore. Many of the recovered artifacts were stored in Cragmantle.[1]
It is unknown what happened to Tar Ogashaar after the demise of the Darklords.
Geography[]
Tar Ogashaar is located north of Skaror. It is a ruined realm, full of broken stone and burning blood. The only notable settlement within is Ogvast, a small town across the border from Skaror, that serves as a base of operations. During the time of Archlord Zagarna, this contained 500 Drakkarim, 1,000 Mountain Giaks, and 1,000 Giak slaves.[1]
Politics[]
Tar Ogashaar is de jure a protectorate of Skaror. However, it is de facto controlled by the Darklands. During the time of Archlord Zagarna, Darklord Kraagenskûl ruled Tar Ogashaar.[1]
