Telegnosis is one of the Grand Master abilities of the Kai order discovered by Lone Wolf. It is the advanced version of the Magnakai Discipline Divination, and the Kai discipline Sixth Sense.
On higher ranks, the benefits gained from this discipline are as follows:
Kai Grand Defender - (New Order only) able to locate a known or familiar material object. Initially the range of this ability is limited to a 15-foot radius, but this distance increases as a Kai Grand Master rises in rank.
Sun Knight - allows telepathic communication over great distances. Initially the range of this ability is approximately 100 miles, but this distance increases as a Grand Master rises in rank.
Sun Lord - able to alter their body weight in order to walk successfully upon different kinds of surface, e.g. water, mud, lava, and quicksand. Time duration and degree of surface difficulty increase as a Grand Master rises in rank.
Grand Thane - allows the Grand Master to detect the exact location of precious gems, and valuable metals such as gold, platinum, and silver. These minerals and metals may occur naturally in the ground or they could be part of a hidden treasure hoard. The range of this ability increases as a Kai Grand Master rises in rank.
This ability is the Grand Crown-ranked ability in the New Order series.
Grand Thane (New Order series): Can excavate earth by sheer force of will. The depth and speed of excavation increases in rank advancement.
Etimology[]
"Telegnosis" means "knowledge from far away". The word comes from the ancient greek "tele", meaning "remote, far away" (as in telephone and television) and "gnosis", meaning "knowledge".
Usage[]
Telegnosis is either a lifesaver or mostly useless. Aside from a few edge cases where it helps you avoid EP loss, what Telegnosis usually does is offer guidance on what choice to make, e.g. when at a junction. This can be critical the first time through an adventure, but on a second playthrough, one would already know the best choices and Telegnosis becomes much less powerful.
