The Fortress of Death

The Fortress of Death is an audio adventure RPG created by Oscar Carlquist and Gustav Sundin, published in April 2025. It takes place in Kazan-Oud, the setting of Castle Death.

Qel Dhormos, born in Illion and a member of the League of the Sword, ventures into Castle Death, the eponymous setting of the adventure. The adventure begins in the Oubliette, a location in the dungeons of Castle Death.

Publication history[]

The Fortress of Death began as a Kickstarter project in September 2023, which was funded within five hours, receiving SEK 365,920 (approximately US$37,300) in backing.

The Fortress of Death was featured on the Journeys Through Magnamund podcast twice, in Episode 10 and Episode 31, with Jonathan Stark and August Hahn playing through the adventure in the latter episode. This episode also coincided with the release of the adventure.
