Gameplay[]
The gamebook features a stress mechanic, which measures the player's sanity and physical health. Mental strain has consequences. It is set in MS 5079, after the Darklands War.[1]
Plot[]
The Tower of the Mind stands alone in the Stornlands, hidden in the hills beyond Glarn. Locals call it the Weeping Place — a name earned by the screams that echo from its stone halls.
You are a Sage of Varetta, once apprentice to Thedorious, a famed alienist who ran a sanitarium within the Tower's walls. Two years have passed since your studies ended. Then, a letter arrived — ink blurred, words frantic. Now you are here again, and what you find is not the refuge you remember. The door to madness has opened... and you are the key.
In THE WEEPING PLACE, you will uncover forgotten crimes and confront horrors both cosmic and human. Your journey takes you through cursed halls and buried memories as you unravel the truth of what happened here... and what still lurks in the dark.[1]
