Tor IV (unknown–MS 5101) was the forty-ninth Monarch of Sommerlund.
Biography[]
Tor was born to Crown Princess Imelda, daughter of Ulnar V. In MS 5091, Ulnar V, Imelda, and her sister Madelon were assassinated by the Heldajdok-taagim,[1][2] with Tor IV thus succeeding Ulnar V.[3]
In MS 5098, new gold seams were found in the Maaken Mines. Tor IV responded by doubling the size of the Army of the South, and increasing the size of the Sommlending fleets. In MS 5101, Tvor'tana unlocked the Vagadyn Gate and released the Ice Demons, bringing an early and unnatural winter to Sommerlund and Durenor, and the Kaltersee froze over. The Ice Barbarians then invaded Sommerlund and Durenor in the Tvor'tana invasion of Sommerlund and Durenor. Although Sommerlund and Durenor were successful, Tor IV, however, died in a heroic self-sacrifice during the battle. He was succeeded by Haigh V.[3]
