Lone Wolf will use a variety of weapons on his adventures. Without a weapon, by default, he suffers a -4 penalty to his Combat Skill. This penalty can be mitigated or even removed by certain advanced Weaponskill disciplines (Tutelary-ranked Weaponmastery, and Grand Crown-ranked Grand Weaponmastery). It can also be avoided by possessing any weapon avoids. Possessing the same weapon that Lone Wolf has Weaponskill in grants +2 Combat Skill, and Weaponmastery and Grand Weaponmastery provides higher bonuses.
Most encountered weapons are non-magical, but the game books also provide several weapon-like special items. These function as weapons in combat, but are carried like special items and often have special properties. Examples can be ability to hurt certain beings or bonuses to Combat Skill.
