Yr-Naoga, dubbed The Province of the Damned, is a Darklands realm. It is the largest realm in the Darklands, containing the entirety of the desolate Naogizaga wasteland and more, and considered to be its dumping ground.
Geography[]
Yr-Naoga is the largest realm in the Darklands, but it is a deadly abandoned wasteland, dangerous even to the Darkspawn that live there. It constitutes the two wastelands of Naogizaga and Aztaradara.
It has no indigenous population, as none can survive for long in Yr-Naoga, but some of the foulest beasts roam the lands, scavenging for food. Such creatures include renegade or bestial Darkspawn, Agarashi, mutated beasts, and Demons. When Darklords send their armies through Yr-Naoga, they factor in the attrition, and call it the "Tariff of Blood". The beasts of Yr-Naoga can kill swiftly, but some use the bodies of their victims as incubators for their offspring. Drakkarim and Giaks that enter Yr-Naoga pray for a swift death.
Yr-Naoga once had one fortress, Naargarod. During the transition between Archlords Vashna and Zagarna, the Darklords used Naargarod to make deals and alliances. When Zagarna became Archlord, Naargarod lost its sole use, and it was abandoned and razed to the ground.
Yr-Naoga is protected by magic that prevents it from being detected magically or psychically. Even the Kai discipline of Divination will not work within its borders.
Politics[]
Yr-Naoga is unclaimed and undesirable. De jure control falls under Helgedad, but in practice, a blind eye is turned to it.
