Warrior-god Zantaz, also known as Lord of the Pit, Reaper of Gloom, Armourer of the Fell Legions and Guardian of the Gate of Dragonflame, is the warrior-god whom the Drakkarim worship.[1] He presides over a deep realm of rock, iron, steel and flame. He is tasked by Naar with equipping the fell champions of Naar with weapons of power. He is clad from horned helm to booted foot in glowing black plate armor. He is an arm's length taller than a grown man and he has no mindforce at all, with the psyche of an automaton.[2]

The Gate of Dragonflame is the only way out of Zantaz's realm. Yet to do so one needs to defeat Zantaz in mortal combat and cast his body into the Pit of Darkflame, from whence he shall be reborn.[1]

Appearances[]

Lone Wolf encounters Zantaz in The Curse of Naar, in a mandatory section.[2] Zantaz psychically calls to Lone Wolf after Lone Wolf arrived in his realm, drawing Lone Wolf into approaching the Dragon Gate that is the exit from his realm. Zantaz does not talk and only attacks. He is a formidable warrior, with very high combat stats.

  • Combat Skill: 52/50
  • Endurance Points: 52/50/46

Zantaz's stats vary depending on whether Lone Wolf uses the Kai power-word (Grand Crown-level Grand Nexus) against him, and whether Lone Wolf possesses the Sommerswerd or Skarn-Ska. Zantaz is also immune to all psychic attack, apparently including Kai-ray (Sun Prince-level Kai-surge) in spite of Kai-ray being able to penetrate "the strongest of psychic defenses".
